As Jim Scovell’s daughter, Kylie has grown up in and around the company, developing a love for homes through her life-long exposure to the company’s projects. A brief stint living in and being surrounded by the incredible architecture of New Orleans coupled with several personal house renos in Kansas City were enough to convince Kylie that she wanted to pursue a career in the field. She learned quickly that while she loves good design, she's at her best leaving that job to her team and instead focusing more on the company. From building relationships with new clients to working out the details of a new process, Kylie's a sucker for the behind the scenes of all the pretty pictures you see in our portfolio.

In 2021 she and her husband John purchased the company from her father. Kylie has five children – Annie, Quig, Jimmy, Patrick and Caffrey – with her husband John. They live in Mission Hills and love being a stone's throw - literally! - from so many of our projects.
