Kelly Stephens
Design Manager
Born and raised in Kansas City, Kelly returned home after earning degrees in Interior Design and Psychology from Miami University of Ohio. She’s worked in high-end residential interiors ever since and has a deep appreciation for the charm and character of older homes. Today, Kelly lives in Brookside with her husband, Adam, their daughter, Olivia, and their dog, Warren.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends - and is happiest on a patio, enjoying good food, good music, and good company.
What do you love about your work here at Scovell?
I love the collaborative environment and shared desire for excellence. Each project is so unique, which keeps every day interesting. Seeing the transformation of different spaces is pretty fun too!
Describe your design aesthetic.
I’d describe my aesthetic as classic, but eclectic - I love the juxtaposition of older, traditional homes with modern elements. I gravitate towards natural materials and colors, and love anything green!
What is your favorite kind of space to design?
I love designing kitchens, but I find powder rooms to be the most fun! They offer a unique opportunity to use really special materials and make bold design choices that might feel overwhelming in a large space.Meet the rest of the team
