Sean Bernard
Project Manager
Sean grew up in Wichita, KS, where his passion for construction and athletics took root early. After high school, he headed to college on a football scholarship, studying Business Management and learning the value of discipline, teamwork, and hard work. After graduating from Emporia State University in 2019, Sean jumped into the trades, working for a commercial mechanical contractor as a sheet metal apprentice. There, he gained hands-on experience fabricating, modifying, and installing ductwork—skills that built the foundation for his future in construction.
In 2021, Sean moved to Kansas City to take on his first project management role in the painting industry, where he successfully oversaw hundreds of residential painting projects. By the end of 2025, he brought his detail-oriented mindset, construction experience, and customer-first approach to the Scovell Remodeling team—making him a natural fit for our design-build process.
Sean is engaged to his fiancée, Lauren, and the two are excited to tie the knot in 2026. Together, they purchased a fixer-upper in Raytown, MO, and spent months transforming it through a full DIY renovation. While he had always had a love for building things, that project ignited Sean’s deeper passion for remodeling and the transformative impact great design and craftsmanship can have on a home. When he’s not on a job site, you can find him outdoors fishing, riding bikes, going on walks with Lauren and their dog, Gibby, or getting competitive on the pickleball court
What do you love about your work here at Scovell?
The aspect I love most about working at Scovell Remodeling is the team-oriented environment. Coming from a team sports background, having a strong group of knowledgeable individuals across the many components of the design-build process gives me confidence that our team can solve just about any challenge that may arise throughout construction.
Describe your part in the build process.
As a Project Manager, my role is to coordinate trades, outline the scope of the project, ensure alignment with the design plans, keep homeowners informed of their project’s progress, and deliver a high-quality finished product that both our clients and our team can be truly proud of.
